Dr Christine Ma

Dr Christine Ma’s approach to dentistry is shaped by her experience with biomimetic dentistry in the United Kingdom, where the focus is on preserving as much natural tooth structure as possible while restoring teeth in a way that closely mimics nature.

Her clinical philosophy centres on minimally invasive dental care, careful diagnosis and the use of materials that are selected thoughtfully for long-term function, comfort and biocompatibility.

Rather than rushing into aggressive treatment, Dr Christine prioritises understanding the root cause of each dental problem before recommending a solution. She takes a conservative approach to fillings, crowns, root canal concerns and restorative treatment, aiming to strengthen and protect teeth while reducing unnecessary drilling or removal of healthy tooth structure.

For patients who value a more holistic and prevention-focused approach, Dr Christine offers care that balances modern dental science with respect for the body’s natural healing and long-term oral health.

Why I Practice Holistic Dentistry

I practise holistic dentistry because I believe the mouth should never be treated as separate from the rest of the body.

Over the years, especially through my experience with biomimetic dentistry in the United Kingdom, I have seen how important it is to preserve natural tooth structure, choose materials carefully and avoid unnecessary aggressive treatment whenever possible.

To me, good dentistry is not just about fixing a tooth. It is about understanding why the problem happened in the first place. In most situations, careful consideration of the diet, bite forces, gum health, previous dental work, inflammation, stress levels, daily lifestyle and habits can tell a lot more about your oral health than by simply examining your teeth.

My approach is minimally invasive, prevention-focused and patient-centred. I aim to protect as much of the natural tooth as possible while using materials that support long-term function, comfort and biocompatibility.

Many patients come to me because they want clarity, gentleness and a more thoughtful way of receiving dental care. My goal is to help them feel heard, informed and confident before proceeding with treatment.
